In 1 ml of caninsulin, there are 40 IU of highly purified porcine insulin (30% in the form of amorphous zinc insulin and 70% in the form of crystalline zinc insulin).
It is an aqueous suspension for injections.
Packaged in glass vials of 2.5 ml, with 10 vials in cardboard boxes.
Pharmacological properties:
Caninsulin replenishes the deficiency of endogenous (produced in the body) insulin in diabetes mellitus, lowering blood glucose levels.
Caninsulin belongs to intermediate-acting insulins.
Caninsulin contains porcine insulin, which is structurally identical to canine insulin.
