Description
Virbac Alizin - an original hormonal drug for terminating pregnancy (abortion) in dogs produced in France based on aglepristone, a synthetic steroid. The anti-progestogen Alizin is indicated for use in dogs up to 45 days after mating.
It is produced in the form of a solution for injections in glass vials with a volume of 10 ml. Contains 30 mg of aglepristone (active ingredient) and 10% ethanol per 1 ml.
The action of the drug is aimed at neutralizing progesterone, competition with which at the level of uterine receptors leads to abortion (or resorption) of the fetus within 7 days after application.
