trimethoprim - 0.08 g.
Pharmacological properties
Trimethoprim is a combined preparation containing sulfadimethoxine and trimethoprim.
The mechanism of action involves each component inhibiting the activity of two different enzymes involved in the biosynthesis of bacterial folic acid. The two-stage action of the drug significantly increases its effectiveness and reduces the possibility of developing resistant strains of microorganisms.
