A combined broad-spectrum anthelmintic drug against roundworms and tapeworms in all stages of development. Praziquantel is a synthetic compound, a derivative of quinoline, which disrupts the permeability of helminth cell membranes to calcium ions, leading to the suppression of glucose metabolism, destruction of parasite cell membranes, paralysis, and death.
